Fruity Licious: Shipping & Delivery Policy
At Fruity Licious, we are committed to delivering the freshest farm-picked fruits directly to your door. Because our products are live and perishable, our shipping process is designed for speed and temperature control.
1. Order Processing & Dispatch
- Harvest-to-Order: To ensure peak freshness, most of our fruit is harvested only after your order is placed.
- Processing Time: Standard orders are processed within 24–48 hours.
- Cut-off Times: Orders placed after 12:00 PM will be processed the following business day.
- Shipping Days: To avoid fruit sitting in transit over a weekend, we typically dispatch orders after harvesting on your demand.
2. Shipping Methods & Speed
We use specialized carriers experienced in handling perishables to minimize transit time.
- Local Delivery: Same-day or next-day delivery via our internal fleet or local couriers.
- Standard Shipping: Monday - Saturday business days. Recommended only for hardy fruits like apples or citrus.
- Express/Overnight: Highly recommended for delicate stone fruits and berries to ensure they arrive at or below 40°F (4°C).
3. Shipping Rates
- Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on the weight of the fruit and the delivery distance.
4. Packaging for Freshness
We use industry-standard practices:
- Insulation: Sturdy, moisture-resistant corrugated boxes or insulated liners.
- Temperature Control: As needed depending on the fruit type and climate.
- Protection: Fruit is padded with breathable materials to prevent bruising during movement.
5. Delivery Requirements
- Signature & Unattended Delivery: Since fruit cannot sit in the sun, we recommend someone be present to receive the delivery. If unattended, the driver will leave the package in a shaded area if available.
- Address Accuracy: Fruity Licious is not responsible for spoiled fruit due to incorrect addresses or failed delivery attempts where the recipient was unavailable.
- P.O. Boxes: We cannot ship to P.O. Boxes as fresh fruit requires immediate climate-controlled storage upon arrival.
6. Tracking Your Fruit
Once your order is dispatched, you will receive a tracking number via email. We encourage you to use the Carrier Tracking Tool to monitor your delivery in real-time.
Pro-Tip for Fruity Licious: You may want to include a "Seasonal Shipping Surcharge" or "Heat Map" warning on your site during summer months when extra cooling materials are required to keep the fruit safe.
